Description: To use this product you MUST have a Google Account.
StoryMapJS is a free tool to help you tell stories on the web by highlighting the locations of a series of events.
TimelineJS is an open-source tool that enables anyone to build visually rich, interactive timelines.
Being able to visualise research data by plotting it on a map or timeline offers an alternative way of sharing and communicating research, engaging others, clarifying and presenting events or topics.
Do you want to create an interactive timeline in order to show how or why something happened? Or to display a collection of objects in chronological order for viewing on a website? Then this workshop will be of interest to you.
This workshop will provide hands-on practice in using StoryMapJS and TimeLineJS so that you can assess how you may be able to employ these tools in your own research.
No prior experience with these tools is required.
Certificates of attendance will be available on request on the day of the workshop.
