This presentation will cover how to find images and create simple graphics to help you promote your research, school or events online more effectively.
Content
- Where to find appropriate and high quality images that are free to reuse, and understanding creative commons licensing (e.g. ccsearch, Pixabay, Google Images, UCD media services images)
- Freely available tools for creating graphics (e.g. Powerpoint, Word, Canva)
- Basic layout and design including colours, fonts, resolution, cropping, re-sizing and optimal sizes for sharing on social media platforms
- Practical examples of effective images in academic and administrative contexts

This presentation is aimed at researchers, as well as managers and administrators, who want to promote their research, school or events online.
