Advanced Twitter for Discovering and Promoting Research In-Person
Please Note: Participants who don’t already have a Twitter account are asked to sign up for one in advance of the session.
Participants should already be familiar with using basic functions on Twitter e.g. sending a tweet, using a hashtag etc. (if not, we recommend you attend our Twitter Workshop for Absolute Beginners, 25th September 2018).
Overview
Participants who are using already familiar with Twitter’s basic functions will gain an understanding of the more advanced features, as well as additional tools that can be used to enhance the experience. They will also acquire knowledge on how to use Twitter for discovering and promoting research.
Content
- Discovering research & keeping up to date using Twitter
- Twitter analytics
- Twitter 3rd party tools: HootSuite, Buffer etc.
- Disseminating and promoting your own research
- Tips for increasing your followers and impact on Twitter
Certificates of attendance will be available on request on the day of the workshop
No booking required: places are limited to 35 and available on a first come first served basis.
Location: Information Skills Room in the Health Sciences Library (no. 29 on the campus map)
