Advanced Twitter for Discovering and Promoting Research In-Person
Overview
Participants who are using already familiar with Twitter’s basic functions will gain an understanding of the more advanced features, as well as additional tools that can be used to enhance the experience. They will also acquire knowledge on how to use Twitter for discovering and promoting research.

- Twitter analytics
- Twitter 3rd party tools: Tweetchat, Buffer etc.
- Disseminating and promoting your own research
- Twitter & altmetrics
- Tips for increasing your followers and impact on Twitter
Participants who don’t already have a Twitter account are asked to sign up for one in advance of the session. Participants should already be familiar with using basic functions on Twitter e.g. sending a tweet, using a hashtag etc. (if not, we recommend you attend our Twitter Workshop for Absolute Beginners, 1st Feb 2018).
PhD students who attend this event can attain a Certificate of Attendance via Sisweb.
Attendance at this workshop / presentation may satisfy the CPD requirements of some professional bodies; a certificate of completion can be supplied upon request.
