Visualise your data on a map : how to create a map with Scribble Maps

Visualise your data on a map : how to create a map with Scribble Maps In-Person

Description

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to create maps using the free online mapping application Scribble Maps. Scribble Maps will let you create maps which can be emailed, saved as a jpeg, embedded into websites or blogs or shared via URLs. It’s ideal for anyone who doesn’t require the analytic tools and features available in a Geographic Information System (GIS) such as ArcGIS.
Scribble Maps includes features such as adding placemark icons, images, photos, text labels and shapes onto a variety of background maps. Distances can be measured and it has the facility to search for locations. Step-by-step guidance will be given on importing data from an Excel spreadsheet to view on one of the base maps available via Scribbble Maps.
