Tool Focus: Google Fusion, Open Refine, Google Visualisation Toolkit

Data takes many forms - especially in the digital world. The data we engage with presents new challenges and great opportunities. To unlock the potential - the ability to mine for knowledge and visualise for patterns - can give you the keys to scholarly success. This workshop will look at three Google tools in particular that will help manage, analyse and present data in powerful ways. It will enable you to judge if Google Tools such as Fusion, Refine and their Visualisation Toolkit will suit your analysis and presentation purposes.

Through a concentrated workshop combining lecture along with hands-on experience you will learn how to use and apply these tools and be able to compare them with similar tools from other providers.

No prior experience with these tools is required and no advance preparation for this workshop is necessary.
